About the Nursing Department of Medical Scientific School of Zunyi Medical College
遵义医学院医学与科技学院护理系成立于2001年5月，于同年9月开始招收护理本科生，依托于遵义医学院护理专业得到了蓬勃发展。
The Nursing Department of Medical and Scientific School of Zunyi Medical College was founded in May and began to matriculate nursing undergraduates in September, 2001. It is thriving with the support of the Nursing School of Zunyi Medical College.
我系现有专任和委派教师33人，具有硕士研究生以上学历6人，占19%；副高以上职称15人，占教师总数的45%；其余教师均在中级职称以上。实验团队总数14人，其中副教授5人，占35.7%；讲师6人，42.8%；助教3人，占21.4%；硕士4人，占28.5%；本科10人，占71.4%。
Full-time teachers plus teachers designated by ZMC total 33. Among them 6 hold master’s degrees, making up 19% of the faculty; 15 are associate professors or above, accounting for 45 of the faculty; the rest of the faculty hold intermediate professional titles. Experiment teachers total 14. Among them 5 are associate professors, accounting for 35.5%, 6 are lecturers, accounting for 42.8%; 3 are teaching assistants, accounting for 21.4%. In terms of academic degree, 4 hold master’s degrees, making up 28.5%; 10 hold baccalaureates, constituting 71.4%.

Nursing of Zunyi Medical College is a national characteristic specialty and provincial model specialty. The Nursing School of Zunyi Medical College boasts 1 provincial Teaching Elitist, 1 provincial Model Worker, 1 Expert at the City Level, 1 provincial Top Quality Course, 1 collegiate Top Quality Course. The Nursing Department of Medical and Scientific School of Zunyi Medical College, with resource sharing of the school’s topnotch faculty, advanced didactics, quality experimental instruments, has gained side-by-side development.
护理系下设基础护理教研室和临床护理教研室，承担18门专业课程的教学管理工作。《护理学基础》、《急救护理学》、《护理美学》、《外科护理学》获校级精品课程；《护理美学》为本专业的特色课程。实验室设施先进，拥有示教和反示教系统、模拟实验室、虚拟实验室、急救护理学实验室、中心负压吸氧和吸痰装置等硬、软件设备，从虚拟到现实为员工护理知识和技能的培养搭建了良好的教学平台。
The department comprises a General Nursing Teaching and Research Section and a Clinical Nursing Teaching and Research Section, assuming the teaching administration of 18 subjects. General Nursing, Nursing Aesthetics, Emergency Nursing and Surgical Nursing are rated Collegiate Quality Course. Nursing Aesthetics serves as the characteristic course of nursing. The department owns teaching and demonstration systems, a simulation laboratory, a virtual laboratory, an emergency nursing laboratory, a central negative pressure oxypathor and a sputum suction apparatus, providing a favorable teaching platform for cultivating the students’ nursing knowledge and skills from virtuality to reality.
遵循“开拓、创新、求实、进取”的发展思路，采取送出去、请进来，院外培养加院内培养，中青年教师分层次培养及导师制等多种形式培养教师。积极鼓励中青年教师攻读硕士学位，以提高学历层次。积极优化教师结构，不断增大专任教师中高级职称、双师型教师及硕士的比例。鼓励教师积极申报科研课题及撰写学术论文，近年来，我系教师在省级以上刊物发表论文100余篇；申报国家级、省级等科研项目20余项，获中华护理学会科技三等奖1项、贵州省高等公司产品成果二等奖1项、贵州省大中专院校多媒体教育软件大奖赛三等奖1项、遵义市科技进步三等奖2项；申报专利5项；主编和参编教材8部。
The department, in the spirit of “be pioneer, innovative, truth-seeking and enterprising”, and under the guidance of the strategy of “brain gain and brain nurture”, takes varied approaches to training middle-aged and young teachers in a hierarchical way and to implementing the tutorial system. It also encourages middle-aged and young teachers to pursue master’s degrees to improve their educational levels. It takes vigorous steps to optimize the faculty structure, and to constantly raise the proportion of dual-model teachers, lecturers and professors. Buoyed to apply for research programs and write academic theses, our teachers have published more than 100 articles, successfully applied for 20-plus national and provincial research programs. It was also awarded a Third Prize for Scientific Progress by the Chinese Nursing Association, a Second Prize for Higher Education by Guizhou provincial government, a Third Prize for Guizhou Intercollegiate Multimedia Teaching Software Competition, and two Prizes for Scientific Progress in Zunyi. The department applied 5 items of patent, edited and co-edited 8 textbooks.
为培养顺应时代发展要求及满足人民医疗卫生需求的高素质实用型护理人才，护理系不断创新教学形式，改革教学方法，开展以案例教学、体验式教学、网络教学、情景模拟教学、综合设计实验、直观教学、观摩教学等多种教学形式。毕业生就业形势良好，就业率在93%以上，就业分布主要在贵州、四川、重庆、广州、深圳、上海等地，得到了用人单位的广泛好评。
In order to nurture highly competent nursing professionals keeping abreast of the needs of times and people’s health, the school keeps innovating its didactics and teaching modes. A multitude of teaching modes have been adopted like case teaching, experiential teaching, network teaching, scenario simulation teaching， integrated experimental teaching， visual teaching and public teaching. Statistically, 93% of each year’s graduates from the school can get satisfactory job offers mainly from Guizhou, Chongqing, Guangzhou, Shenzhen and Shanghai. The school has received favorable feedbacks from the employers.
伴随着社会主义经济和医疗卫生事业日新月异的发展，我系将继续致力于培养具有现代护理理念，富有“奉献、仁爱、慎独”的护理职业素质和人文素养，掌握基本护理理论、技能和人文社会科学、基础医学、预防保健基本知识，能在医疗、预防、保健等机构从事临床护理、社区护理和健康保健工作，并初步具备教育、管理、创新及自我发展能力的高素质实用型人才。
Along with the dramatic development of economy as well medical and health services, the department will commit itself to training highly competent nursing professionals of “Devotion, Benevolence and Self-restraint”. They have a good command of general nursing theories and skills; they are endowed with modern nursing concepts, blessed with humanitarianism and professional nursing competence, versed in humanities, social science, preclinical medicine, disease prevention and health care; the can serve as clinical nurses, community nurses and health care attendants in medical, preventive and health care institutions; and they are possessed of preliminary ability for education, management and innovation.
