大家上午好！

欢迎你们来到红色革命圣地——遵义，参加第九届中国-东盟教育交流周中文演讲暨征文大赛--“留学中国梦”活动。在这里，请允许我代表遵义市委、市人民政府向远道而来的各位嘉宾和朋友们表示热烈的欢迎！对大家长期以来关心支持遵义经济、教育事业发展表示衷心的感谢！
Welcome to Zunyi, a mecca of Chinese revolution, for the Chinese Speech and Essay Contest——Fulfill Your Dreams in China” of the 9th China-ASEAN Education Cooperation Week. Hereby, I’d like, on behalf of the Communist Party Committee of Zunyi and the Government of Zunyi, to extend our welcome to our distinguished guests and friends from afar, and to extend our heartfelt thanks to your support and care for Zunyi’s economy and education.
遵义，地处黔北。因遵义会议而彪炳史册，因国酒茅台而驰名中外。在这片红色的土地上，遵义教育人始终紧紧围绕“有精神坚守、有开阔胸怀、有改革魄力、有文化品位”的办学理念，深入贯彻省委对遵义“打造西部内陆开放新高地”的要求，科学统筹开放与改革两件大事，深入推进质量与公平两大主题，大力实施优质教育资源培育工程，初步建立起了学前教育普惠发展、义务教育均衡发展、高中教育创新发展、职业教育特色发展、高等教育内涵发展的完善的现代教育体系，全市教育事业步入了内涵发展的新阶段。
In the north of Guizhou lies Zunyi, which enjoys historic fame for Zunyi Conference and worldwide reputation for Moutai, the State Liquor. Educators in Zunyi, in answer to the Party Committee of Guizhou’s call of “Forging a New Highland for Opening up in West Inland Regions”, revolve around the schooling philosophy of “Be Perseverant in Spirit, Broad in Mind, Decisive in Reform, and Appreciative in Culture”, scientifically coordinate the two major issues—opening up and reform, intensively promote the two majors themes—quality and equality, and vigorously fulfill the Project of Cultivating Top-notch Education Resources. We have instituted a modern educational system of “universal preschool education, balanced compulsory education, innovative high school education, distinctive vocational education, and higher education of intensive development”. The education in Zunyi has evolved into a new stage of development that gives full play to its inner attributes.
近年来，贵州省委、省政府始终坚持教育优先的战略发展地位，大力推进科教兴黔和人才强省战略，通过实施教育“9+3”计划，以人才引进、政策扶持等方式，为地方社会经济社会发展提供了人才支撑和智力支持。
Over the recent years, the Party Committee of Guizhou and Government of Guizhou, giving strategic priority to the development of education, have been pressing ahead with the strategy of “Rejuvenating Guizhou through Science and Education and Reinvigorating Guizhou through Human Resources”. We have, by implementing the “9+3 Education Project”, provided human resources support and intellectual support for the local economic and social development, by means of introducing human resources and affording policy support.
这些年来，中国与东盟友好合作持续稳定发展，已成为区域合作的一面旗帜，中国－东盟战略伙伴关系经历了“黄金十年”，正步入起点更高、内涵更广、合作更深的“钻石十年”。遵义医学院此次承办的第九届中国-东盟教育交流周中文演讲暨征文大赛--“留学中国梦”活动是遵义教育对外开放的重要平台，也是与各位来自东盟的来华职工分享智慧、凝聚共识的一个契机，我相信，本次活动将深化中国与东盟国家的友好关系，促进彼此的教育和人文交流，成为推动双方务实合作、和谐发展的重要平台。
In recent years, the friendly and cooperative relations between China and ASEAN have witnessed sustained and steady growth and become a flagship of East Asia cooperation. The China-ASEAN Strategic Partnership, having experienced a “Golden Decade” of development, now stands at an even higher starting point for a Diamond Decade leading to broader and deeper cooperation. The Chinese Speech and Essay Contest—Fulfill Your Dreams in China organized by Zunyi Medical University will serve as an important platform for Zunyi’s opening up, and as an opportunity for students from ASEAN members and us to share intelligence and to build consensus. The contest, I believe, will strengthen China-ASEAN friendly relations, further educational and people-to-people exchanges, and become a key platform to advance practical co-operation and coordinated development.
