各位来宾，女士们、先生们、朋友们：
大家上午好！
欢迎大家在金秋九月来到多彩贵州！很高兴同大家相聚在红色遵义！首先，我谨代表贵州省人民政府，向第七届中国—东盟教育交流周“中国—东盟新药研发研讨会”的成功举办表示热烈的祝贺！向各位远道而来的嘉宾和朋友表示热烈欢迎！

Good morning!
Welcome to Guizhou in this golden September! It’s a great pleasure to meet with you in Zunyi, a significant revolutionary base! First of all, on behalf of the Provincial People's Government of Guizhou, I extend my warm congratulations for the successful holding of the 7th China-ASEAN Symposium on Development & Industrialization of Innovative Medicines (China-ASEAN SDIIM) of China-ASEAN Education Cooperation Week! A hearty welcome to all guests and friends from afar!
中国和东盟国家山水相连，友谊源远流长。自2003年中国与东盟建立战略伙伴合作关系以来，双方关系发展进入一个全新的阶段。双方在政治、经济、文化交流等领域合作广泛，成果颇丰。从2008年开始举办的中国——东盟教育交流周已成功举办六届，为双方分享智慧、凝聚共识搭建了一个良好的互动平台。这是我省了解学习东盟国家教育经验的一次很好的机会；同时也是向东盟国家展示我省教育发展情况乃至政治、经济、社会发展状况的窗口。此次在遵义召开“中国——东盟新药研发研讨会”，正是双方为增进了解、加强合作，推动双方在新药研发及产业化方面的有力探寻。
China and ASEAN countries are linked by common mountains and rivers, and the river of our friendship runs a long course. Since the establishment of strategic partnership between China and ASEAN in 2003, our relations entered a new stage of development. Both sides have extensive cooperation in the field of politics, economy and cultural exchanges with great achievements. Since 2008, China-ASEAN Education Cooperation Week has been successfully held for 6 years which provides a good interactive platform to share wisdom and build consensus and also offers our province a good opportunity to learn the advanced educational experience of the ASEAN countries. Moreover, it is a window to show our educational development to the ASEAN countries as well as political, economic, and social developments. This China-ASEAN SDIIM in Zunyi is just a powerful exploration for both sides to enhance mutual understanding, strengthen cooperation, and promote the development and Industrialization of innovative medicines.
我省矿产资源丰富，生物多样性良好，药材品种涵盖药用植物、动物、矿物等种类，中药材种植和抚育面积广，是全国重要的动植物种源地和四大中药材主产区之一，也是我国第一家获科技部挂牌的中药现代化科技产业基地省，素有“黔地无闲草，夜郎多灵药”之美誉。近年来，以苗药为代表的贵州民族药产业异军突起，自20世纪90年代初从零起步，至今已形成了一个有一定规模的产业而受到各界关注，涌现了一大批在全国乃至世界知名的医药企业。同时，我省不断加大新药研发的投入力度，药品品种和新药开发投资逐年大幅上升，在新药研发方面积累了丰富经验。
Guizhou is abundant in mineral resources, and boasts great biodiversity. The medicinal materials vary from medicinal plants, animals to minerals. Traditional Chinese medicinal materials are planted and nurtured in a wide area. Hence, Guizhou is a major source region of plants and animals around the country, one of the four main production areas of traditional Chinese medicine (TCM), and the first province which was listed by the Ministry of Science and Technology as sci-tech and industrial base for TCM modernization, thus gaining the reputation of. In recent years, Guizhou ethnic medicines, represented by Miao medicine, suddenly rise and till now have formed an industry with certain scale since it started from scratch in the early 1990s, hence receiving widespread concern. A large group of pharmaceutical companies emerged and became famous all over the country, even the world. In the meantime, our province is continuously increasing the investment in the research and development of new medicines. Investments in medicine variety and new drug development rise sharply year by year, and rich experience in the research and development of new medicines has been accumulated.
当今世界是知识经济的时代，国际交流与合作及科学研究发展只有基于知识共享，才能产生倍增效益。今天各位的努力和辛苦，必定会对中国和东盟各国的药物产学研一体化产生深远的影响。在此，我代表贵州省政府，衷心感谢承办单位遵义医学院、遵义师范学院，协办单位贵阳中医学院、遵义医药高等专科学校等单位为本届大会作出的努力和奉献！感谢遵义市政府的大力支持！感谢来自各国各领域嘉宾代表的积极参与，祝愿朋友们在贵州期间心情愉快、身体健康！
Today, the world is an era of knowledge-base economy. Only on the base of knowledge sharing can the international exchanges and cooperation as well as the research and development of science yield multiplier profits. Your efforts and endeavor today will surely have a profound impact on the industry-university-research cooperation of medicines between China and ASEAN countries. Here, on behalf of the Guizhou Provincial Government, I am grateful of such organizers as Zunyi Medical University and Zunyi normal College together with co-organizers as Guiyang College of Traditional Chinese Medicine and Zunyi Medical and Pharmaceutical College for their efforts and dedication to this convention! Appreciation also goes to the Municipal Government of Zunyi for their strong support and distinguished guests from all areas for their active participation! I wish every friend is happy and healthy in Guizhou!
